In Class Courses :

First Aid & CPR

The Standard First Aid course provides comprehensive training covered in all aspects of first aid and CPR.

Course Duration: 2 Days, 8hr days. (Recert: 1 day, 8 hr day)

Course options: 4- 4hr days; 6 – 2hr days; 2 – 8 hr days. We understand the difficulty scheduling courses such as not to interrupt your business’s operations. We will work with you to ensure the most convenient delivery of your course.

Prerequisites: none.

Cost: $130.00 + GST per person

Recert: $85.00+ GST per person

The Standard First Aid course provides comprehensive training covered in all aspects of first aid and CPR. This course is for those who want an in-depth understanding of first aid such as: medical/ legal aspects, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, abdominal and chest injuries, burns, and medical emergencies.

Successful candidates receive both Standard First Aid and CPR-C/AED certification.

he Fall Protection Group Inc. one-day Industrial/Commercial End-User Fall Protection program trains students to understand the ramifications of fall protection as it relates to work performed at heights. This course identifies various fall protection options, and defines which options best meet the needs of the individual. Students are also trained in the tools and knowledge to work at heights safely. The course material is energetically delivered over one full day and includes hands-on activities, video analysis, and focuses on student participation.

This course is delivered by one of our highly-qualified instructors.

OSSA Confined Space

Confined Space Entry and Monitor Training.

Course Duration: 8 hours

Cost: $150.00 + GST

Fusion Safety Inc. OSSA Confined Space Training will help individuals develop an understanding of:

  • What is a confined space/restricted space
  • Hazards associated with confined and restricted spaces
  • Appropriate controls to reduce or eliminate hazards
  • The duties of a Confined Space Monitor

Enform - H2S - Alive

A one-day program intended for all workers in the petroleum industry who could be exposed to hydrogen sulphide (H2S).

Course Duration: 8.5 hours

Cost: $150.00 + GST

The primary focus is to provide generic H2S safety programming to help workers work safely in and around H2S environments. The program covers the physical properties and health hazards of H2S, how to protect oneself and basic rescue techniques.

Each student is required to operate a self-contained breathing apparatus and to perform a rescue lift and drag exercises.

Online Courses – users will request a course, and an email will be sent to Peak notifying them that someone would like to register through for one of the online courses.

Basic Life Support (BLS) For Healthcare Provider (Level C) CPR BLS HCP Level C

This course is approved by the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and is designed for healthcare providers and first responders who respond to cardiac emergencies.

Participants will learn:

Skills related to one- and two-rescuer adult, child and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

How to manage obstructed airways, bag valve mask (BVM) and airway adjunct

Usage of an automated external defibrillator (AED)

*Prerequisite: BLS Healthcare Provider recertification is required annually.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support For Experienced Providers (ACLS EP)

ACLS EP is an 8-10 hour Heart and Stroke Foundation course, designed for seasoned healthcare providers, proficient in ACLS, interpreting 12/15 Lead ECGs, understanding ACLS pharmacology and regularly lead or participate in emergency assessment and treatment of prearrest, arrest or post arrest patients having a return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC).

After successfully demonstrating a Mega Code scenario, participants will expand on the core ACLS guidelines studying complex cardiovascular emergencies pertaining to, respiratory, metabolic, toxicology and environmental case scenarios, utilizing critical thinking and decision-making strategies.

*Prerequisite: Current H&SF; (Level C) Health Care Provider BLS and ACLS certifications.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider

ACLS is a 10-16 hour Heart and Stroke Foundation, internationally recognized course. Participants will learn how to provide advanced cardiac life support treatment for Adults suffering cardiopulmonary arrest. By combining lectures, skills stations, and utilizing scenarios in a team based environment, participants will learn how to apply the ACLS algorithms with regards to pharmacological interventions, ECG interpretation, manual defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, external transcutaneous pacing, and airway management utilizing basic and advanced airway adjuncts. Upon successful completion, the participant will learn valuable knowledge and critical thinking skills, to effectively treat the adult cardiac patient.

* Prerequisite: Current H&SF; (Level C) Health Care Provider BLS.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider Renewal

ACLS Renewal is a 6-8 hour Heart and Stroke Foundation course, which is available to current ACLS Providers who have not had their certification expire. The ACLS Renewal course covers all ACLS provider course content in a shorter and more streamlined fashion.

* Prerequisite: Current H&SF; (Level C) Health Care Provider BLS, and Current ACLS Provider.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider

PALS is a 10-16 hour Heart and Stroke Foundation, internationally recognized course. Participants will learn how to provide Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support treatment for Pediatric patients suffering cardiopulmonary arrest. By combining lectures, skills stations, and utilizing scenarios in a team based environment, participants will learn how to apply the PALS algorithms with regards to pharmacological interventions, ECG interpretation, manual defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, external transcutaneous pacing, and airway management utilizing basic and advanced airway adjuncts. PALS Renewal is a 6-8 hour Heart and Stroke Foundation course, which is only available to current PALS Providers who have not had their certification expire. The PALS Renewal course covers all PALS provider course content in a shorter and more streamlined fashion.

* Prerequisite: Current H&SF; (Level C) Health Care Provider BLS, and Current PALS Provider.

Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)

PHTLS is a 16-20 hour internationally recognized scenario based course approved by the American College of Physicians and Surgeons. PHTLS utilizes lectures and interactive skills to develop the critical thinking skills required to effectively treat the trauma patient.

Pediatric Education For Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) BLS & ALS Levels

PEPP is a comprehensive course designed to give BLS (EMR and EMT/PCP) and ALS (EMT-P/ACP) prehospital professionals the education, skills, and confidence to effectively assess treat and manage ill or injured children. The course combines comprehensive medical content with dynamic features utilizing case-based lectures, live-action video, small group scenarios, and hands-on skill stations.

Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS)

AMLS is a 16 hour course geared to prehospital professionals that addresses how to best assess and manage the most common medical crises in patients, offering a “think outside the box” perspective and methodology for all levels of practitioners. AMLS utilizes scene size-up, history, interactive group discussion of potential treatment strategies, and physical exams to treat various medical crises.

The course offers an initial assessment-based approach that progresses to a diagnostic-based approach to quickly develop the best treatment plan, utilizing interactive lectures, teaching and evaluation stations. Teaching stations follow the associated lectures each day.

International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) Basic & Advanced ITLS

ITLS is a 16 hour trauma course designed for hospital and out of hospital providers who are first to evaluate and stabilize the trauma patient.

ITLS provides complete training utilizing Basic and Advanced skill levels required for:

  • Rapid assessment
  • Resuscitation
  • Stabilization and transportation of trauma patients
  • Building on the knowledge
  • Emphasizing evaluation steps and sequencing
  • Techniques for resuscitating and packaging patients
  • Hands-on stations include:
  • Rapid trauma patient assessment and management
  • Needle chest decompression (Advanced)
  • Fluid resuscitation
  • Spinal motion restriction, Log roll, Rapid extrication, Long and Short back board, Scoop Stretcher
  • Helmet management
